Thank you for joining the Bass Solo Pilot Program. After going through the class, the goal is that you will be able to do things like:
- Take a 12-bar solo over a blues (and liking what you play) and even have your band mates’ faces light up and say “Yeah!” or give you a "WOO!"
- Getting ‘the nod’ and taking 8 bars of limelight over a single-chord rock or funk vamp
- Having something to play if someone says “Take it away!” and expect you to play a little ‘flourish’ for 2-4 bars
- Play melodically over a single form of a simple jazz song
